LPN Education and Certification in Mississippi
To become a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in Missouri, you must obtain a license from the Mississippi Board of Nursing. In order to qualify for a license you must earn your LPN degree and take and pass the NCLEX-PN test.
After you have earned your degree and passed the test you need to become CPR certified. After you have filled these requirements you will be ready to apply for an LPN license. The license application will ask you to submit a copy of your LPN school transcript and pay an $85 fee.
As you begin working as an LPN in Mississippi, keep in mind that your license will need to be renewed every two years. When you apply for renewal you will not need to participate in continuing education classes if you are currently working as an LPN or if you have worked as one in the past five years.
