LPN Education and Certification in Ohio

To start a career as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in Ohio, you must be licensed through the Ohio Board of Nursing. Before you can apply for licensure you will need to earn your LPN degree and pass the NCLEX-PN exam. You will also need to be CPR certified.

The application process here includes an $85 fee and you will be asked to submit a copy of your transcript from the LPN school you attended.

As you work as an LPN in Ohio, keep in mind that you will need to renew your license every two years. Contact the Ohio Board of Nursing for specific renewal requirements.
