LPN Education and Certification in Oklahoma
To work as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in Oklahoma you need to be licensed. Licenses here are distributed by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and have an $85 application fee.
To apply for a license you will need to earn your LPN degree and pass the NCLEX-PN exam. After you have earned your degree you should become CPR certified, another license requirement here. The application process includes sending a copy of your LPN school transcript to the board.
In Oklahoma you must renew your LPN license every two years. However, unlike many other states, you are not required to participate in any continuing education classes in order to renew your license here.
