LPN Education and Certification in Pennsylvania
If you want to work as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in this state, you will need to apply to the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing for a license. Before you can apply for a license you must be CPR certified and earn your LPN degree.
Your degree program will help you prepare to take and pass the NCLEX-PN exam, which you will need to do qualify for a license. There is an $85 application fee in Pennsylvania. When you apply you will need to provide a copy of your LPN school transcript to the board.
To continue with this career path in Pennsylvania you must renew your LPN license every two years. You are not required to take any continuing education classes to renew your license here.
